pet food recall?
Question by betsarama: pet food recall?
I have just read the symptoms that cause kidney failure in cats due to the cat food pouches by Nutro. My cats have had more than one of them. The vomiting only happened a couple of times and have now stopped, but they are still drinking a lot of water, urinating a lot and have not been eating as much. I am going to call my vet immediately in the morning. I have checked my remaining pouches of food and they do have the concerned dates on them (which I am keeping to show in case something is wrong). I have read different opinions on what can be done lawfully if my cats have been infected and do in fact have any kidney failure? What are the correct answers to what can be done and how soon?

There are several sites or groups now who are looking into possible legal action against Menufoods. Best check them out since they can point you into the right direction as well as supply you with answers.

I am sooo sorry that your kitties have been affected by this terrible tragedy. Take them to the vet immediately and keep the remaining pouches as proof.
