I might be getting a dog from my relatives in another country, I’ll be going there actually, and I want to bring a dog/puppy back with me. What does it mean for a dog/puppy to be quarentined? And can i bring if it has shots? How expensive will it be? What if I bring a pet carrier?

Quarantine is when your pet (or anything else) is kept in a secure place for a week or two until they’re sure it doesn’t have any diseases. This is pretty common when bringing a pet with unknown health records across country borders. They don’t want your dog bringing an unknown disease back home with him, and even if he looks perfectly healthy it’s possible that he might.
Edit: They probably won’t give him any medicines/shots, and it probably won’t matter if you get him shots or not – they’re not worried about diseases we know about. They’re worried more about something like the dog version of Bird Flu or whatever, some new disease that they don’t know how to cure.
it means your dog is going to a lab where they are gona run test on it and inject it with no medicine to see if it will work on humans
It means that they’re going to put him in a place by himself so that if he has a contagious disease he won’t give it to other dogs.
The dog will have to be held at a facility for at least 7 days to make sure it is not sick. You will have to pay for any vaccines and kennel time the dog has to have before it can be released. A pet carrier will make no difference in this situation, as the quarantine is to ensure the animal does not have any illness which could be spread to other animals.
