Need helping finding dog carrier?

Question by grace: Need helping finding dog carrier?
I am going on a trip and will be flying US Airways. I am taking my yorkie with me and the airline in very strict on dimensions on the pet carrier for express flights. Does anyone know where I can find a pet carrier that is 8″ in height, 17″ in width and 15″ long? The dimensions can’t be more than this.

Pet carrier for airline travel?

Question by Isserley: Pet carrier for airline travel?
I have a schnauzer about 15-20lbs. What’s the best stroller/carrier for a dog her size for air trave?

Any other useful info about air travel with your pet is appreciated.

You will need to get a carrier made of plastic and tape it together, preferably with tape that says LIVE ANIMAL. If not just use some good tape and get a sticker that says LIVE ANIMAL INSIDE or something like that. Then you’ll probably have to send your dog air freight (which is extra) on the same plane your taking. But if your airline would allow you to bring him/her as a carry on then go for that. And then you might get away with one of those big purse looking carriers.

How strict is airline with pet carrier size?

Question by Expecting #1 10/3/11: How strict is airline with pet carrier size?
The height is the biggest trouble. 8″ max but they said 8.5″ would be ok since that is all I could find. That is b/c our first flight is a smaller plane. The second plane said 10″ height. The 8.5″ is a tight squeeze for our mini-chihuahua. We are bringing both carriers just in case. Do they measure them when you check in?

It has to fit under the seat…no exceptions. Call your airline for specifics.
