Question by Jenn .: Dog with Separation Anxiety
HELP! We have a beagle that we recently adopted. He is awesome. There is only one problem… He has such bad separation anxiety!
If we leave him alone even for an hour, he will tear up the carpet, tear the curtains down, scratch the windowsills and doors up, etc. We tried crating him and he chewed completely through a hard sided pet taxi. Then we got a wire crate and he chewed up the hard plastic tray in the bottom and squeezed out.
I am desperate at this point. I do not want to get rid of him, for me that’s not an option. We love him and he has become part of our family. I just need suggestions, I am up for anything! Have even thought about getting him another beagle friend, but at this point I have spent over $ 500 on him, plus will have to replace carpet and all that…. The beagle rescue places charge almost $ 100 for adoption. I am desperate! Please help!

Call your vet for help (maybe mild tranquilizers) and a referral to a dog behavior expert ASAP! Also, the rescue society may have some ideas for you but your very best choice would be the dog behavior specialist.

Question by jit bag: question about in-flight pet carrier?
if my carrier’s height is off by an inch, what happens? it’s a soft-sided carrier for my cat to travel in, which is pretty flexible. the length and width are fine. an airline agent told me that when you check in with the pet, they do a quick run-through of precautions to make sure everything is safe.
my cat is 11 lbs, and the max is 20, so she has plenty of room, which is important to me because i want her to be comfortable. are they really going to measure the bag? do i need to buy a small one which may make her uncomfortable?
by the by, i did ask the airline, and they quoted me the dimensions. i know it will fit under the seat. the stupid thing is, its the Sherpa brand bag, which is meant for flying.. ridiculous.
umm, any suggestions for additional bags? the medium sherpa is 10.5″ H and i need it to be 9″ H. the smaller one is too small for my chubby kitty cat. .. help???

Question by Michelle M: Pet friendly airline ? – 2 Teacup Chihuahuas in same carrier?
I wan to visit Paris and take along my 2 pups – both tiny Chihuahuas, who both weigh less than 10lbs, and fine in same carrier. Which airline is most pet friendly, and has anyone traveled with 2 pets in same carrier ? Never flew International with them before, and hope to find out tips, tricks, and any advice to make the trip go smooth and stress free for me and my pups.
thanks so much

I’m waiting for that nasty Wendy’s burger to stop making me feel nauseous.
