Question by abbyful: flying with dog in-cabin, any recommended carriers?
I’m planning on taking a trip next month and would like to take my dog with me. So I’m looking for a quality carrier.

I haven’t booked my flight yet, but will most likely be flying Delta. I contacted the airline, they said that the carrier size limit is 12x12x18.

I have a PetFlys carrier that is 12x9x19, so it’s 1 inch away from fitting their size limit. Can anyone that has flown a pet before tell me if they are really strict on the size? Do they measure the carrier, or just eye-ball it?

Since I’m unsure about the PetFlys carrier being accepted, I’m looking for a carrier that *will* fit thier standards. Has anyone used either the Sherpa-Delta ( http://www.sherpapet.com/products/detail.php?proddetail_name=Delta%20Bag&proddetail_post=Y ) or SturdiBag ( http://www.sturdiproducts.com/4111/xcart/home.php?cat=1 ) carriers? I can’t find many reviews about the SturdiBag. The Sherpa-Delta has mixed reviews, people either love it or hate it.

I’m open to other brand suggestions as well.

Sherpas are accepted,suggest you book as soon as possible before others flying with pets beat you to it.I have not had problems with carriers,asking for health certificates on my dog but still get everything you need

My family and I are moving to Europe from the States. The trip will be probaby 15 hours and I have two dogs that will travel in the hold area. They are too big to be in the same carrier together but I was wondering if anyone knows of any carriers that can be attached together so that they could be right next to each other the whole time. I think that would be a huge confort for them and for all of us. If anyone could suggest any carriers such as these I would appreaciate it soo much!

I also have two bunnies and they will also be traveling in the hold area. I also would like the same configuration for them so that they would know that they are right next to each other (tthey aren’t bonded and do not get along when they are put together, but they like ach other’s company when they are seperated). Please help me.

Hi there…generally, the airlines will try to keep the animals together provided if the cargo hold has the room. The crates cannot be locked together because cargo space doesn’t allow for this as easy as it sounds. You can ask the air carrier you will be flying what they can do to accommodate your request.

Question by : Are there any dog carriers that dogs like?
I would like a dog carrier for my toy/mini poodle that she would be comfortable in. The puppy purse says its good, but its weird, and expensive. I need something that I can take her in the car or just around with me. And all people who think its mean to put a dog in a purse, how many times have you wanted to be carried when your feet hurt? Or if you have to walk across a road with your dog but they won’t stay still. I would like one around $ 20 if possible. And if the same place has affordable pet clothes too, all the better!
My dog falls asleep every ten minutes. I mainly need this because I’m going to a family party and I’m trying to get my mom to let me bring my dog and I want her to be comfortable and safe.

If your dogs feet are hurting when you walk her you are walking her too much and for too long.

Dogs have legs, unless convalescing they can walk.

where can i buy a sling/side carrier for my maltese? I looked online and some names for the ones i like are: Kyjen Outward Sling go pet sling, Pet-a-roo front style carrier, and outward hound sling go pet. I just want to buy it from some place good and trustworthy…. so any good places you know of(online or in stores) would be so helpful. Thanks!

well I just got my side pet carrier for my miniature dachschund at wal-mart by the pet carriers.
