They’re only required to take the dog in if it’s a “Service Dog” like for blind people, other than that, they CAN refuse you, and they usually do if it’s a big dog, like a German Shepherd.

Question by Elizabeth H: Nursing Mother dog’s breast/milk pouch more firm than others?
My dog gave birth to 9 healthy puppies 3 weeks ago Friday. Everything has been fine until tonight when I was petting her and noticed one of her breasts is more firm than the rest. All of the other’s fill full and floppy, but one seems lumpy and firm. Milk comes out fine, but I’m concerned, and since it’s 1am I don’t have the option of getting to a vet tonight, but can in the morning. If anyone has any advice, please respond!
I also wanted to add that the nipple itself looks completely normal, is not infected, red or enlarged at all.

If it is not red, hot, or painful then she is probably just engorged. It should be fine to wait until the morning to call the vet if you are still concerned.

It is probably nothing, but good to be aware of such things.

Question by lusely_1203: my chihuahua has been throwing up for three days now on a daily basis?
i’ve taken her to the vet, and she prescribed Pepcid for the dog. i give her 1/4 of a pill with each meal. but she continues doing so. her breathing isn’t normal either. i’ve heard her wheezing, coughing strangely, and even sniffling a little. i’ve given her doggie cough medicine for the sniffling (aslo prescribed) but nothing is changing.
i’m aware of the pet food recalls, and i know i am feeding her safe food. i’m giving her Pedigree Little Champions pouched wet food mixed with Beneful Original dry food. i’ve been giving her the same food for months, and she hasn’t acted like this until now.
what can i do? can any of these symptoms be in connectino with a serious condition? PLEASE HELP! i’m worried about my baby girl!
i dono if she’s been checked for hypoglycemia.. truthfully i don’t think the vet i took her to was very good to begin with, but i adopted her from the same place i get her checked up at.
for the first few months the vet checking her was REALLY good, but after a whiel they had to transfer me (not quite sure why though) i’m very concerned, and i’m also rather broke.
the vet i have to take her to only costs around $ 25 per visit, others will charge much more (i’m aware b/c i’ve had other dogs in the past)
any other suggestions though?
BTW shes 3 years old not a puppy

Try the sugar water. Her blood level might be low.
It won’t heart to try. Don’t put to much in her water just enough to bring her level up if that is the problem.

Question by Em: I cant find a dog carrier I saw once can you?
I know my effort is pretty much pointless but I saw a picture of a beautiful pet carrier. It was an over the shoulder purse style bag that was burgundy and silky on the inside with a slightly variating brown faux fur on the outside. Striped downward I believe. It was on a pet stuff website but I cant remember which. I saw it in several places though. Absolutely gorgeous. Any help is appreciated. It wasnt too long ago but it wasnt on my computer. So I cant hit history.

You might find what you are looking for on Ebay, much as what you describe doesn’t sound very practical. More like a fashion accessory to be honest. Don’t forget, dogs are dogs – with LEGS.
