Question by nikki_torigoe: Soft Dog Carrier for Giant Havanese? Would like info on the size of your (large) dog and what carrier you use.
My dog is a Havanese, albeit quite a big one. From tail to butt he is about 17″ and from his shoulders down he stands about 13″ tall. His total length is 23″ (from nose to butt in a laying down) and when he sits he is about 17″ tall from the top of his head to the ground. He weighs 18 pounds. I am trying to find a soft carrier that can be used on the plane but mostly for other traveling purposes (train, car, etc.) but am having trouble understanding what bags my dog will fit in. The smaller the better but I want him to be comfy. have found a larger sized carriers, including Celltei’s Pak-o-Pet(http://www.celltei.com/accafpa.html), Jet Set Dogbag (http://www.sitstay.com/store/equip/shpa1.shtml), and Sturdibag (although this doesn’t look as sturdy as the other bags to me). I am aware of airline regulations – what I am most interested in knowing is the size/weight of your dog, what brand of carrier you use and its size, and your experience with that type of carrier. Thank you very much
Sherpa bags seem to be too short. I don’t think he could stand up in one.

Question by Natasa: What is the max size of soft-sided dog carriers that Continental airlines will allow in-flight?
I am traveling with my puppy schnauzer (4 months) and I heard that hard carriers have to be 9″ high, but does anyone have any experience with soft sided ones? If anyone has taken their pet in-flight on Continental please share your experience. Also, if anyone knows the height underneath seats on Continental airlines that would be GREAT, too!

I am taking a road trip with two large dogs?

Question by Hailey arrived June 7 2011: I am taking a road trip with two large dogs?
is it possible to fit two large pet taxis (the crates for dogs) in the back seat of my four door dodge stratus? I realize my care isn’t huge or anything, I was just wondering if two of those could fit in there. Also does anyone have any tips for traveling with large dogs? Its roughly a 24 hour drive from Texas to Virginia.

Question by jparaujo: Pet carrier for air travel with max 24 H and at least 33 D?
Hello, I’m traveling with my basset hound and need a carrier for her. The problem is the airline company maximum measurements for the crate are unreal: Maximum of 24” for height and 36” for depth. I actually need one of 36” D, since I’m carrying a Basset, but the height would exced the permitted, which is 24”. I can find only 27” of heigh, that seems to be the default height for 36”.

Some know of a carrier with 36” of depth and 24” of height?

Thank you!
